If you saw me this week then you saw me write this quote on the board. It is honestly one of the most profound questions I have ever asked myself and it continues to blow my mind every time I think about it or utter it.
If you saw me after Tuesday then you also know that it’s not the entire quote. (I heard the first part on my audiobook as I was pulling into a parking spot and the second part when I got back in the car that afternoon.) The actual quote is “What is the net effect of your existence on the total happiness in the world each day?” Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos asks this profound question in his book, Delivering Happiness. I’ve been trying to figure out if my mistaken partial quote and the actual quote in its entirety are actually the same question. Something to ponder.
At any rate, I saw this video and thought about the net effect of Donnie’s existence. I think you’ll be inspired by his positive attitude and his positive net effect. 😉
